Type the school’s admin password. It is the same one that opens any teacher's class from the teacher dashboard — not the tablet password the children know. If nobody has changed it, it is on the setup sheet that came with the machine.
Counts of what happened on this server — how many children, which tools, which languages. It never shows anything anybody typed, looked up or asked.
The password a child or a visitor types to use the tablet’s tools
without signing in — the translator, the games, the library, the videos.
A child who signs in as a student, and a teacher who signs in to their class, are
never asked for it.
This is the one that gets said out loud in a room of thirty children, so
expect them to learn it, and change it whenever you like — every tablet picks
the new one up straight away, with nothing to restart. Keep it short and easy to say
across a classroom. It is deliberately not your admin password and it opens no
teacher’s class; the app refuses to make it either of those.
You get a spreadsheet with two sheets in it, already filled in with this term: Teachers (teacher, class, subject) and Students (class, student). Edit it in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice — no internet needed. Type next term's teachers and children over this term's. You never create a class anywhere: a class exists because its name appears in the spreadsheet, so a new P5B is made simply by typing P5B.

Every term you finish is kept here, and so is the term you are in now — it is saved automatically the moment before you switch away from it. That is what makes looking around safe: whichever term you go to, the one you left is still in this list. Switch to this term brings back that term’s classes, class lists and the children’s progress exactly as they were. You can also keep a copy of the current term at any time, which is worth doing before a reset if you are at all unsure.
